It’s the real estate agents’ old school mantra: Location, location, location.
We’ve all heard it a million times, but, how relevant is this mantra for Hong Kong?
In this post we compare Wong Chuk Hang vs Admiralty with regards to a bunch of criteria that we believe SME’s and startups look for when deciding on office rentals and coworking spaces.
What’s the main difference Wong Chuk Hang vs Admiralty?
The obvious difference Wong Chuk Hang and Admiralty is that the latter, being close to Central, is considered as being in the de facto ‘centre’ of Hong Kong.
We’ve heard a ton about how Kowloon East will replace Central as Hong Kong’s largest office submarket but, as it stands today, the Centre is Central.
Is Admiralty just a vanity address? Yup, likely so…
Sure, we understand that a reputable address matters, or perhaps better said, a ‘relevant’ address to your industry.
If you want to operate a medical clinic you’d be wise to secure office rent in the Central Building, or if you’re in finance perhaps CKC is a good fit. For entertainment you’d be best to seek office space in Lan Kwai Fong & SoHo.
However, what about coworking office providers in Central or Admiralty?
Does an address really matter for the startup or SME community in Hong Kong?
We’d say – no, for the most part it doesn’t matter.
Our community and coworking spaces in Causeway Bay, Taikoo, Quarry Bay, Kennedy Town and Wong Chuk Hang, are all created equal with regards to emphasis we place on rental monthly costs and amenities on offer.
We also place tremendous emphasis on creating an amicable and productive spirit within each of our communities.
