Campfire have announced they will be wrapping up operations of Co-Retail, their trial pop-up retail store in Mong Kok. As an industry first within the shared space sector, Campfire were the first shared space provider in Asia to offer bricks and mortar high street retail space for members.
While the retail store was a success, Campfire have announced they will be focusing their efforts and resource on their key business sectors, co-working, co-living and co-learning, as they prepare to open their latest 80,000 square foot co-learning site in Kowloon.
Co-Founder and CEO, Wang Tse, explains “It has been an awesome experience for us and we are stoked we have been able to offer this opportunity for our members to get high street retail visibility in one of the world’s busiest shopping districts.” “With so much interest and uptake from some of Hong Kong’s top urban brands, we do hope to be able to launch another retail offering at some stage in the future – it’s great to know it can be done!” says Tse.
Founded just 3 years ago in Hong Kong, Campfire now have 20 sites across four countries, occupying over 620,000 square feet of shared space.
