Benefits of Remote Working

By March 21, 2017Lifestyle

Remote working is when employees work from anywhere outside the company office. It is also known as telecommuting and telework.

Remote workers and traveling salespeople work on different platforms away from their permanent organization. It has replaced the traditional style of working through its new and innovative working style. One can easily work from one’s laptop from anywhere on the globe and receive the same rewards.

Traditional office structure is now forced to change as more people choose to work remotely or as freelancers.

The huge mass on the remote working side promptly indicates that it is facing a great rise. A US federal government report said that “47% of its employees (that’s 1,020,034 people — no, really, more than a million people) were eligible to telework — a big increase over the year before”.

Here are some interesting and favorable points of remote working:

1- Workers of remote working schedule are less stressed

Describing the utilization and benefits of working in a remote environment, Daryl Wilkinson, the group head of digital development explained it in simple terms. He said, “There’s less stress in the office and the workplace — people feel empowered to work in a way that suits them and suits the business.”

2- Remote workers are authentically connected with each other

Thanks to the smartphones and social media, remote workers are more connected with the advanced time than ever before. You don’t need someone into your next for an effective talk as you can make it via smart communication methods.

3-  Savings

There is a reason why many startups are choosing remote work rather than normal office settings. According to Nick Bloom, a professor at Stanford University conducted a study to evaluate the benefits of working from home. He estimated that, on average, the company saved around $2,000 per every employee who worked from home.

4- No problem for leave

While working in a remote environment, one is free to take leave. This eliminates the unnecessary stressed out situations of working for a long-time without leave.

5- Remote working generates new job opportunities

New responsibilities require new roles in an organization and remote working is a way to accomplish such roles. Adams said We’re seeing greater collaboration between HR, IT, property and facilities management and job titles like ‘workplace director’ making this agile workplace happen”.

6- Remote employees bring happiness to companies

Freshness is always helpful because it refreshes the mind and opens its senses. Sawn described it as an important aspect of office life in order to enjoy lunchtime without any stress.

7- Remote working places are better than the regular office

We all have already heard it that J.K. Rowling has written most of the Harry Potter story while sitting in her local coffee shops. And everyone can see the better results of working with a free mind in her each series of Harry Potter.

Office place gives flexibility to its working employees. The global operations director of Regus, Celia Donne said that “Flexible working isn’t just office or home — there may be somewhere near home with better facilities”.

8- Telecommunication is better than workday starts

As per the UK office of National Statistics, “Commuters have lower life satisfaction, a lower sense that their daily activities are worthwhile, lower levels of happiness and higher anxiety on average than non- commuters.”
